If you’re about to use one of our tools for the first time, give this page a quick read. It won’t take long, and it’ll save you a headache later.

Why we made this page

We started LegalDocs because getting a simple document done in Pakistan — a rent agreement, an affidavit, a legal notice — usually means finding a typist, explaining what you need three times, paying more than it should cost, and waiting around. We wanted to skip all of that. You fill in your details, our tool puts them into the right format, and you walk away with a document that’s ready to use.

That’s the whole idea. But since these are legal-style documents, a few things are worth knowing before you jump in.

Check your details before you generate anything

This is the one that matters most. Your name, your CNIC number, dates, addresses, amounts — type them the way they appear on your actual ID or paperwork. We’ve seen people rush through this step and end up with a document that has one wrong digit in a CNIC, and that one digit can cause real trouble when the paper is actually submitted somewhere. Take the extra thirty seconds.

Also — pick the right tool for the job. A rent agreement and a legal notice aren’t interchangeable, and each one is written in a different tone for a reason. If you’re not sure which one fits your situation, it’s better to ask us first than to guess.

Read the document before you use it

Once it’s generated, don’t just download it and forward it along. Read it. You’re allowed to go in and edit the wording afterward if something doesn’t sound right to you or doesn’t match your situation exactly. Think of what we give you as a strong first draft, not a locked, final answer.

We can’t promise it’ll work everywhere

Our formats follow what’s commonly accepted across Pakistan for everyday matters. But offices, courts, and organizations don’t all follow identical rules — some ask for slightly different wording or an extra clause. So if what you’re dealing with is serious — a property matter, a large loan, an actual court filing — please have a lawyer look over the final document. Our tool gets you most of the way there; it isn’t a replacement for legal advice when the stakes are high.

And to be clear: we format what you give us. We don’t check whether what you typed is true. That part’s on you.

Please don’t misuse the tools

We’re keeping this free because we want it to actually help people, not because we have unlimited resources. So a couple of asks:

• Don’t run bots or scripts to mass-generate documents.
• Don’t use these tools to create fake affidavits, false notices, or anything meant to mislead someone.
• Don’t scrape or copy the site to rebuild it elsewhere.

Everyone using this fairly is what keeps it free for everyone else.

Your information stays yours

Whatever you type in — your name, your numbers, your details — is only used to build your document. We’re not collecting more than we need. If you want the full picture on this, our Privacy Policy has the details.

When to skip the DIY approach

Some situations really do need a lawyer, not a tool. If you’re already in a court case, dealing with a property dispute, handling a large financial matter, or genuinely unsure where you legally stand — use our document as a starting point, then get it reviewed by someone qualified. That’s not us being cautious for no reason; it’s just the honest advice.

Something not working, or not sure which tool to use?

Message us. Contact form, email, WhatsApp — whatever’s listed on our Contact page. We read these and try to reply quickly, especially if a tool is genuinely broken or behaving oddly.

One last thing

We update these tools every so often — sometimes we add a new document type, sometimes we fix something that wasn’t working quite right. If you use the site often, it’s worth checking this page again every now and then.

At the end of the day, we made LegalDocs because paperwork shouldn’t be this hard for ordinary people. Following these few points helps us keep it that way.
